Frequently asked
- Can stained drywall just be painted over?
- Only when the board is dry and structurally sound; staining alone can sometimes be sealed. Board that is soft, crumbling or delaminating needs replacement.
- Does the leak get fixed as part of this?
- No. Drywall work assumes the water source has already been addressed. Note the situation in the Assistant so the sequence is planned correctly.
- How far past the stain do you cut?
- Back to dry, sound board and to framing where practical, so the new piece is supported on solid edges rather than floating on damaged material.
